A Bridal Tea
One idea i have used before is small votives at each place setting. You simply decoupage a small pressed flower to a clear votive cup and insert a candle in the color scheme you are using. Very easy buy pretty too.
I think this time of year strawberries dipped in chocolate are always nice too.
One last thought you could provide pretty paper and have everyone write a blessing, advice, good wishes etc. The couple could place this with their mementos and look back on it later. ~snowball6
I am dipping dried apricots in white chocolate,they last longer than the strawberries.
I made a keepsake book for the guests to sign-I used one of the invitations for the cover, and glue invitaion details from the iside of the card on the first pages of the little autograph book that I purchased. During the party I will pass the book around as suggested so that the guests can write a blessings or a note of some kind to the bride.
Using Valentine's Day as the theme, many of the foods were heart shaped, all the doorprizes too: a heart pin, a heart mug, heart shaped magnet photo frames for the fridge, and a candle. I also used the bridesmaid color of lavender for the decor in candles and fresh flowers, napkins, etc. ~herb princess
My mom and I gave my sister a Bridal Tea. We bought bread at the store that comes in a round loaf. We took a knife
and about 1/2 inch down, cut the top of the loaf, scooped out the bread and filled one with chicken salad and the other with pimento cheese. We put the lid back on and tied with curling ribbon. We put the bread on a pretty platter and placed garden
veggie crackers and Chicken & Biscuit crackers all around it. Then when it came time to serve, we just untied the ribbon. The presentation looks great, and everyone thought it was really neat. Also we bought cantelope melons- cut them in half
and melon balled them out. We filled them with green grapes and the melon balls. It was really pretty. Instead of a cake we make mini muffins in white muffin cups and iced them with white icing. We put them on a 3 tiered holder with doilies. ~Pam
