Bringing up a family should be an adventure,

FRUGAL GARDEN TIPS
I use old pantyhose to tie up my sunflowers, tomato plants etc. They hold them up and the pantyhose stretch too. They won't "dig" into the plant. ~Beth

Just wanted to mention re: staking plants. I find the best thing to use are panty hose legs. We use them for tying tomatoes and also hanging onions to dry. Since I retired I seldom wear them but you can always call on friends that do. ~Sybil

I read somewhere to keep potato bugs off, sprinkle wood ashes on them. We had a bunch of horn worms on our tomatoes. My husband sprinkled the wood ash on the plants & they vanished. It seems to work on everything we planted in the garden. TRY IT - IT WORKS! ~Wanda
